After losing a child, the holidays are not the same.  In fact, surviving them can feel impossible. There is a deep missing and longing for our children's physical presence. I have come to believe that our grief will be with us for the rest of our life, just like the love for our child will be. To ask myself to NOT miss and long for Grayson would be like asking myself to not LOVE him. As I come up on 5 years without my sweet Grayson, I have been working on embracing my grief & looking at it & holding it in a less judgemental way.
