ABOUT US

Let Grace In is a locally-grown 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on Hawaii’s island of Oahu and was established in January 2017 by the Gouveia family in honor of their 5-year-old son, Grayson.  We support families after the death of a child for any reason, from the perinatal period through young adulthood.

We believe:

  • in the power of safe, holistic spaces for healing, building community, and restoring hope

  • in a holistic "whole person" approach grounded in experience, culture, and research

  • that no one travels this journey alone

Our organization provides support to bereaved families through our three core programs:

  • Monthly therapeutic events

  • Hope Retreats

  • The Grief Recovery Method educational scholarships

Our monthly therapeutic events serve as 'mini-retreats' by engaging families in a variety of healing activities and nurturing ongoing relationships with others on the grief journey. Our Hope Retreats provide space and time for families to acknowledge their pain together, share their stories, participate in activities that reduce anxiety, memorialize, and promote self care. Both offer an opportunity to revive health in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self while developing meaningful relationships with families who have suffered a similar loss. The Grief Recovery Method educational scholarships are offered by a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and come from the only evidenced-based Grief Recovery program in the world. The program is an action-based, directed approach to healing from life's deepest heartbreaks.
