A special tea for our moms...
We believe in the power of community and we need one another in this journey. When we come together over afternoon tea, we have an opportunity to share our story and love on one another. This event will have seating for a maximum of 15 moms.
Researchers have found, for instance, that drinking tea lowers levels of the stress hormone cortisol. And evidence of long-term health benefits is emerging, too: drinking at least 100 millilitres (about half a cup) of green tea a day seems to lower the risk of developing depression and dementia.
Lavender Tea has been used throughout the ages because of its calming effect on our mental state as well as the ability to lower anxiety and pain. Not only is this a great tea for relaxation and sleeping, but it also aids in digestion and improves respiratory health.
Another huge benefit is that it helps balance your immune system. Keeping your immune system strong while you are grieving is especially important to help ward off sicknesses such as colds and flus
Chamomile Tea contains chemicals called flavonoids which play a big role in the tea’s medicinal benefits. Some of these benefits include:
- Reducing inflammation
- Treating cold symptoms
- Lowering blood sugar
Peppermint tea has an uplifting and happy scent and it is naturally caffeine-free so it can be enjoyed any time of the day or night.
This is a great tea to drink to help you relieve a tension headache or migraine. It also can improve your energy levels and help clear your sinuses and aid with seasonal allergies.
MOMs- please email gabby@letgracein.org a picture of your child to be framed and shared at the tea or text it to gabby at 808-216-4008. Mahalo!
Mahalo Tammy for offering each of us an invitation to be honored, loved and relax in the comfort of other moms who understand.
