Our Hope Retreat provides space & time for parents & siblings who are grieving their child/sibling to acknowledge their pain, share their stories, participate in therapeutic activities that reduce anxiety, memorialize, & promote self care. This retreat is open to Molokai Ohana only.

About the Event

Our Hope Retreat engages bereaved families in a variety of therapeutic activities and offers an opportunity to learn more about what grief is and how it affects every part of us: body, mind, & spirit.  Let Grace In's intuitive, compassionate, professionals will come alongside you and offer an opportunity to revive health in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self while developing meaningful relationships with families who have suffered a similar loss.

The retreat is offered to the whole family and will have programing for parents and children. We are able to accommodate 8-10 families at retreat.  THIS HOPE RETREAT IS OPEN TO MOLOKA'I RESIDENTS OR OHANA WHO HAVE A PLACE TO STAY ON ISLAND. Unfortuanately, there are no overnight accomodations for this retreat.

There will be a group kitchen with sink (refrigerator/freezer space will be available for special diets, children's milk, etc. LGI will be storing snacks in the refrigerator as well.)

Thanks to generosity of a grant through the Molokai Community Center & we are able to extend an optional donation to register for this retreat:

Your registration (donation*) includes:

  • 9 meals starting with Dinner on Friday night and ending with Lunch on Monday, plus snacks during the retreat
  • All programing & supplies for Adults and children. Holistic activities will include:  
  1. Facilitated Family therapeutic activities
  2.  Move your body activities (workout/Yoga/martial arts)
  3.  La'au Lapa'au teaching & Lomi Lomi instruction
  4. Art Therapy
  5. Sibling focused time
  6. Experiential holistic activities
  7. Group share time both as a group and split into men and women groups
  8. Holistic Nurtrition

  • Jessica Ando, Licenced Family & Marital Therapist and Art Therapist

  • Joyce Wong, Holistic RN, LMT, Certifited Healing Touch Practioner
  • Pa'ana Alapai, Crossfit + Nurtritional Coach
  • Lon Okazaki, Medical Professional, logistics & Martial Arts Instructor
  • Elizabeth Gonzalez, Holistic Nutritionist certified by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition
  • Gabby Gouveia, Bereaved Mom, RN, Grief Recovery Method Specialist & Yoga instructor
  • K'aeo Gouveia, Bereaved Dad, logistics & leading Men's group share 

*If in need, scholarship assistance is available for your ohana, Simply register without a donation. We strive to serve all those who wish to come to Let Grace In's Hope Retreat.
