About Let Grace In:

Let Grace In (LGI) is a 501c3 non-profit organization supporting families grieving the death of a child. Our mission is to restore hope and help foster physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being for grieving families by building community through monthly therapeutic events, Hope Retreats, & The Grief Recovery Method scholarships.

Hope Retreat:

October 6, 3:00 PM HST – October 9, 10:00 AM HST

Camp Mokuleia, 68-729 Farrington Highway

We believe in the power of community & our Hope Retreat program is based in research, culture and experience. Through experiential holistic (whole person) activities, LGI offers an opportunity to revive health in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self while developing meaningful relationships with families who have suffered a similar loss.

The retreat is offered to the whole family and will have directed programing to parents and children. Holistic activities will include: Family therapeutic activities, Move your body activities (workout/Yoga/dance), Art Therapy, Sibling focused therapeutic play & programing, Meditation, Healing touch and lots of love and Aloha (programs subject to adjust). Wireless Internet service available throughout the lodge. Parking available at the retreat site.

Volunteer Opportunities and Responsibilities (meals, lodging & breaks will be provided):

Ideally, staying for the entirety of the retreat will assist us during the times below and with needs that arise. We understand it is a commitment and would love any help.

Friday 10/06/23 :

• Help LGI team set up activities and registration items (2-4pm)
• Keiki team volunteers to keep kiddos safe and attended to while parents are in group share (6:00 pm- 8:30pm)

Saturday 10/07/23, 9-5pm:

• Keiki Buddy (Help facilitate keiki and family activities)
  • 6:00-8:30pm (during parents group share)
• Errand helper (help with picking up ice/food/supplies as needed)

Sunday 10/08/23, 9-4pm:

• Keiki Buddy (Help facilitate keiki and family activities)
  • 12:30pm - 3:30pm (during parents group share)
• Errand helper (help with picking up ice/food/supplies as needed)

Monday 10/09/23, 9-12:

• Help LGI team take down, pack up and clean camp
